The Kickstarter phase of Dungeons of Drakkenheim is officially finished – thank you to all of the Backers and supporters who helped this project come to life!

From here, we move to the next steps which we refer to as the “Post-Kickstarter” phase. In this phase, our Backers will have a number of things to stay on top of. To make things as easy as possible, we’ve detailed here all the key information and dates that you’re going to need so it’s all in the one place for you! So have a read of the below information for a summarised, and more detailed version of what’s to come between now and fulfilment time.

Ensure your pledge was successful with Kickstarter – we will only be fulfilling successful pledges! Sometimes, there can be issues here. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about payment issues on your pledge – this will solely be between you and your bank. BackerKit Surveys Sent: August 16

Once you have a successful receipt of your Kickstarter pledge, you can rest easy knowing your pledge was recorded and collected – thank you! On August 16 AEST, BackerKit surveys will be sent out, accurate shipping prices collected, and all Dungeons of Drakkenheim add-ons will be available for you to add to your pledge. We’ll be sending out a “smoke test” to a few hundred backers a bit earlier than all surveys in order to review our process and address any feedback from those who receive an early survey.

For our Backers who are new to Kickstarter – BackerKit is a 3rd party “pledge management” service that works closely with Kickstarter. It can be a little confusing, we understand. If you are new to the process and not sure what BackerKit is, then please follow these steps:

1. Once surveys invitations are sent (August 16), you will receive an email with your survey link, from ‘[email protected]‘ titled ‘Response Needed – Get your reward from Dungeons of Drakkenheim’. The link within the email will take you to your survey.

2. Fill out the survey with any additional “add-ons” you wish to purchase, and continue to the shipping payment section.

3. This is where we charge shipping for the project, and shipping costs are essential if you have physical items in your pledge (ie. a hardcover book).

Any additional money you pledged inside Kickstarter will appear as “credit” inside BackerKit and can be used to purchase “add-ons”.

Playtest: August 23 – September 12

We are planning to release a playtest at some stage during this period. Once the Playtest has been released to Backers, we will be asking for your review of challenge levels of monsters, damage levels for spells and any loopholes or confusing language that is used in the rules for Contamination. Because of the amount of feedback we expect, we’ll manage the feedback through a Google form, or similar. So if you want to make sure your feedback is read and taken into consideration, you’ll need to submit it on the official form (rather than via email, comments or other method).

BackerKit Lock Orders: September 6

This is the date that we will be locking down all add-on orders and changes through BackerKit. Don’t worry, you can still change and update your addresses. After we have locked orders, we will be charging cards exactly one week after, on September 13. To avoid any unwarranted bank fees, make sure your account is topped up with the required funds and that your details correct!

BackerKit Lock Addresses: January 3, 2022

Wow, it feels surreal even writing “2022” – is time moving quick, or are we experiencing some Eldritch Contamination symptoms?…

On this date we will be locking down all address changes through BackerKit. So up until this date you’ll be able to log into BackerKit and change your address.

Please note, we can’t ship to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers. We will need to reach out to you to get a street address if list one which will delay your order, so please ensure only street addresses are entered.

Fulfilment: March – April, 2022

The most exciting time for everyone; our fulfilment months! Whilst the state of array the global shipping and freight industry is in right now is challenging, we are still confident in getting Dungeons of Drakkenheim products to our backers in this timeframe. We will do everything in our power to commit to this and meet this deadline.
